Some People Will Go Out Of Their Way To Humble You

Some people have made it their life’s mission to tear you down & miscount you in an effort to humble your spirit. And some of these people have been doing it since you’ve been a child. So now, as an adult, you may be starting to doubt who you are. Or maybe you’ve always doubted who you were. My hope & prayer is that you’ve never doubted yourself, not even for a moment. And if you have, you’ll soon begin to step out of that.

I no longer explain things to people. I’ve learned that, often, they do not even begin to have the capacity to understand things from my point of view anyway. Also, some don’t care to begin to try and understand because they don’t want to. The reality/: some people are just committed to misunderstanding you.

Either you get it or you don’t. Life is a game. I learned this the hard way too. But in order to play to win, you’ve got to build yourself up and not wait around for people to do it for you. No one person is going to do it for you. And further… if you do depend on people to do it for you, you’ll end up highly disappointed every time. Because the truth is… they will never give you the credit that you deserve.

Oftentimes, people see a beautiful human being standing in front of them with a lot going on for themselves and they immediately get into comparison mode. They assume things about you. They jump to conclusions that you’ve got it so easy or that “You’ve got it made” and then they run with that. Therefore… they feel like you shouldn’t have it easy because… look at you. You look polished and well put together and then to top it all off… you look happy. So they don’t want to be the one to make it even easier for you. They want to be the one to humble you… the one to give you a hard time… the one who does not make your life better.

But what they fail to realize is that you have gone through things. It’s just that you don’t look like what you’ve gone through (unlike them). You could be fighting for your life and they’d never know it. Why? Because you know how to build yourself back up. But see… most folk don’t want to take the time to understand that. They could possibly learn from you (and that would be the smartest route). But what do they choose? The “Mission to humbling you” route. And that is the messed up part about these types of people.

And let me tell you… not needing their validation is the biggest flex! Because you can’t manipulate (and humbling is a manipulating tactic) a person who does not care what you think of them anyway. And this is where they lose and you win! They can ignore, gaslight, blow-off, throw shade & disengage with you all they want. But as they say, “One monkey don’t stop no show!” And as I love to say….NO WEIRDO FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER!
